Box Opener

A good starting point for a successful attack, for example, against the opponent’s king, is to have more pieces in the attack than the opponent has in defense.

The Box Opener is the piece you use to break down the opponent’s king position. This will typically involve removing a key defender or disrupting the pawn structure that protects the king. When the king’s position is sufficiently weakened, the remaining pieces can be used in a successful mating attack.
